Ok, so I am finishing House of Leaves at the moment, and considering some other books. here's what I have confirmed for Brawl:
Brave new World
Pale Blue Dot
I am considering:
The God Delusion (Sounds like it could be very biased, even considering the title)
Lord of the Flies (Sounds like a unique concept, but from the sound of it seems like almost a childrens' book).
Any other suggestions?

We don't even know what books you already have. The last book I bought was Anathem, and I don't regret it yet, but that's the best I can do for you.

Pale Blue Dot is great. I love Carl Sagan. The God Delusion is actually really good and about the title, he actually talks about it in the book and pretty much passes it off as good marketing because it offends people.
I suggest anything by Carl Sagan if you like Pale Blue Dot. Specifically Cosmos and A Demon-Haunted World.

Lord of the Flies is kind of elementary-school reading, but not a children's book. I'd place it in the same category as Animal Farm, except less political allegory and more implying that it's human nature to be fucking idiots. I never quite liked the message but it's an all right read.
