Struggling writers?

How many of you are writers who have been trying to get their book published but don't have any luck? I'm like that, and I'm wondering how many there are on 4chan.

You could call this a bit of a project of mine. Anyone out there?

I'm a struggling writer in that I'm struggling to get myself to actually write a book. I'm arrogant enough to believe that once I manage to put something together that meets my own expectations, it'll be published in a heartbeat.

I mean fuck, the kid who wrote Eragon is rich by now. If he gets published while I don't, then I might as well kill myself now.

I'm majoring in fiction writing, I wont try to get published until I graduate. Hopefully having a big fancy diploma from my big-boy day camp will move things along faster.
