I came to the conclusion this guy knew what he was on about in "The Prince". Anyone else have any thoughts?

Let me rephrase that: [you thought that] [I] don't know how whenever somebody loses an argument he might try recovering by spilling nonsence and/or telling a questionably witty joke that the ladies might like. Just like I'm doing now, except we aren't in an argument anymore.
