Steampunk is a greatly neglected genre, especially in novels. In fact I have never found any steampunk novels. So, my question to you all is: Do steampunk novels exist?

Perdido Street Station has steampunk elements in it.

The original steampunk is the Difference Engine by Bruce Sterling and William Gibson.
It's slow, though. That usually works for Gibson, since he always manages to fling little details like a black helicopter patrolling the city like a predatory wasp, but since the setting's pseudo-victorian and plainer than his usual setting, it doesn't quite work as well.

How about some Jules Verne?

If you're looking for something with faster pacing, then Perdido Street Station is probably your best bet. The main focus of the novel isn't the steampunk setting, but it's still got some awesome stuff in it.
You'll also probably want to have a dictionary at hand while reading it.

The Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson.

The Witches Of Chiswik by Robert Rankin is comedy sci-fi but also the best novel I've ever read with a vaguely steam punk setting (although it isn't exactly SP because the Victorian technology is powered by Tesla's wireless electricity but it's very close)

Is this awesome? Because the summary on Amazon makes it sound like it.

Sounds extremely fucked up from the non-spoiler parts on Wikipedia.
