Websites to download books?

anyone know of any websites that have .txt versions of novels and whatnot?

id really love to read 'im not scared' (non ho paura) after seeing it on tv.

Project Gutenberg should be your first port of call, it has a huge number of out of copyright texts ranging from classic works of literature to obscure research tomes. I'd guess most people on /book/ have known about it for years but if you didn't then I'm glad to help spread the word.
