I certainly didn't mean to detract from Three Kingdoms by my comments my friend. I enjoyed it greatly, and the only reason I put it on hold in the first place was because it wasn't exactly optimum reading for twenty minute breaks.
It was only the single combat scenes that they fought before their troops clashed that I criticized for their repetitiveness. I still remember scenes like where that one SpearGuy who died fighting a rear-guard action to protect his lord (Dong Zhuo?) from ambush.
