words per line

Am I the only one who thinks that there should be more words per line in books? (like texts on the internet)
It's much nicer for me not to have to go to the new line that often, because the flow of reading is less interrupted. I know the interruption isn't that big, but still..
Have you ever thought about this 'topic'? What do you think about it?
