Maybe to take this in a much more serious tone. I really enjoyed the book when I read it about a year and a half ago. I read it for  a school assignment, and when I first started it I really enjoyed it. Of course, I had previously read "Black Boy" by Richard Wright, so I already had the notion that the book was going to be good.
