"How go...our plans?"
The dark form shifted in the shadows, darknes obscuring its face under a black hood. It extended a pointy figner at the other figure, which nodded. It bore black robes with red markings, the runes twisted and evil with hate, whereas the first figure's black armor was unadorned and ebony black.
"Everything is proceeding according to plan, my lord. Our preparations are in order. The Shadow Realm is ready to march."
"Excelent," the red-marked figure cackled. "After aeons of waiting, we have come at last to this moment. Our true intentions go unsuspected."
"But what of...the Prophecy?"
The red-marked figure waved a dismissive hand. "Not even fate can stand against our strength now. At any rate, I have already dispatched...agents, who will be dealing with the matter shortly."
"Indeed?" The face of the figure shrouded in darkness could not be seen, yet there was the impression of a raised eyebrow.
"Yes. You know how these things go, Azorydas. Before the next Eclypse, the child will be dead, and we shall be crowned the kings of Midlunth. Or better than kings...gods."
"It shall be as you say, my lord," the dark figure said, turned, and sunk even deeper into darkness. The red-marked figure walked in the oposite direction and stepped onto a small balcony on the west side of the Shadow Tower.
As it gazed from the heights upon the army stretched from the base of the tower to the horizon, colored red by the light of the setting sun and making blade and shield glint, a cruel smile played on its lips.
"I am coming back to reclaim what is mine...Vindael."

The door behind him busted open in a mighty roar. Azorydas turned away to face what just wrecked his undestructible fortress, to meet a sensation he never felt before in all his centuries of existence: sheer terror.
His minion was laying on the ground, slayed, his dark blood pouring in a somber and extending pool. closing it, was the source of this unnamed slaughter, wich caused Azorydas a gasp for air.
A newborn was standing there, still bloody from his mother's womb, hurling behind him a giant sword of light, turning the hall into a blinding mess. and his eyes were glowing red.
"What is this!?" shouted the dark wizard in a high pitched voice, trembling.
"The Prophecy... what else...?" answered him the baby, in a manly tone to chill his gnarly bones.
"This is impossible!"
"Gods are angered that a miserable insect like you is to think he could pretend to be as them. They hurried, and now the Hero of Light shall exterminate you once and for all."
Hate and a burning passion rose in the baby's voice, as he held high above his head the shining sword two time bigger than himself.
"You can't be... Vindael!" frantically mumbled Azorydas, stepping back.
"Unbelieved shall be purged."
As his last word floatted out of his mouth, the bloody baby leapt forward, his bright blade ready, and effortlessly split the dark wizard in two. the remnants of his body colapsed in a red geyser of meat and hemoglobine.
Jumping again, the baby flung out of the balcony, straight into the army. There, a merciless destruction of all living things was opered, untill no traces of civilisation was ever to be found.
The ground swallowed the tons of blood like it did countless times, and nothing of value was lost.
Now we only need to bloat it up to, say, 700 pages, and we've got a new bestseller!

or just a best selling novellae, since how much I hate generic bullshit, I tried to parodize it with discrete memes in it.
sorry if it was a bit messy, english is not my primary language. still, it's the ideas that count.

EPILOGUE
The wind swept through the valley between two high, rocky ridges. The infant Hero of Light sat down in the swaying grass and exhaled from exhaustion. It had been a long journey from the Shadow Tower, but now, he was almost home. That pleasant thought brought a smile to his lips. Home. It would be good to see it again.
Then his eyes widened in shock and his face paled as he beheld a sight from his darkest nightmares.
"No! No more! Oh, gods, no! MERCIFUL GODS, NOOO!"
From the sky, the Cliff Racers descended.

"MUST TERMINATE JOHN CONNOR" is all i'm getting from the whole "the child hero must be slain" bit.
Maybe it's just me, but the whole, "the bad guy's army will be defeated by a kid (and maybe some friends) because some random-ass prophecy says it will happen, ESPECIALLY when the bad guy is arrogant and ignores warnings" plot has kind of been done.
While I understand that's not the entire story, that's where I see it heading.

I agree, the same old "prophesied farmers boy defeats army of darkness" again and again gets just plain old after about ... well, the second time.
Not to say all prophecy stories suck, but .. uh, most of them do, unfortunately.

hi, i'm >>2
I don't know what OP tried to do, really, but just a generic fantasy prologue full of cliché. and maybe what he wanted was us to do others, in order to mock them.
Well, I absolutly hate those things, and won't read a book starting this way, so I wanted to quickly parody it and end it, in some kind of badass-loony way.
no adventure, just the writer getting pissed off, and the gods just for once doing their job. (oh, the wizard could have just been struck by lightning, it would have been wayyyy shorter too)
but the idea of a naked blood baby just made me laught.
oh, and I don't know what >>7 tried to do, but it's useless and somewhat impossible, so I ignored it. sorry.

Are there any novels where the prophesized farmer boy gets slain like a little bitch and the lord of darkness triumphs?
It's about time the colossal armies of deadly deadliness took over the world and brought time to an end.

I'm planning on doing that, though there's no farmer, no prophecy, and no lord of darkness. just coïncidence, powers, and the will of one who decide to end everything once and for all. and it will be just a matter of choice. I want the first characters to choose what they really want, thus ending it in a way or another. thus inducind two different ends, in two separate short booklets (because I love both alternatives)
