I still think he is not going to come through

I like to think that he will get around to it. It's not like he has a definitive deadline or anything.

Is it possible that I buy it from you once you are done with Double Fighter Knight?
I am trying to write some aftermath fanfic but lack of information is really killing me.

Name: ShirleyxMinna Writefag 2011-03-25 7:22

Alright, so trying to write this story while dealing with graduating college in a few months was a bad idea. I thought I'd have more free time this semester but I happened to choose the most demanding classes my major has to offer so I've been struggling to find even a little time to write. Anyways, sorry for making all these promises and deadlines that I continue to fuck up but good news everyone, I only have to copy 1 page I wrote freehand, proofread and chapter 1 will finally be done. And as consolation for your patience I'm grinding out another fapfic.

A Preview: The summer heat turned the Strike Witches' base into a furnace, days were spent at the beach or in the outdoor bath  trying to ward off the unbearable heat, and nights were a constant battle against the hot weather, but unfortunately even Trude's sleepwear proved virtually ineffective against the warmth. Of course the witches tried other strategies but most never worked. This night Yoshika and Lynette decided to battle the heat by making ice cream sundaes for themselves.

Hell no, I'd never sell that book. I could, however, try to give you any information you may need. I can only d so muh though.

Rather than working on another fapfic I'd rather you focus all your energy on the one you are working on now. One thing at a time, my dear writefag, that's what I say.

Awww alrite.
I just want to know more about his stories in the air force- how he interact with his teammates, the younger ones, fans, etc. what he did after war is also something that I am particularly interested in.
Btw, where did you get your copy?  I might as well try looking that direction.

Well, as for what he did after the war, it doesn't say in the book. You could probably get the book on Amazom, it's not cheap though. Also, I assume you've read everything here, haven't you?

and then there's this interview and some other stuff

If there's any more information you need I could see what I can do. Also, would you mind telling me what this fic is all about?

As Juutilainen was decorated with the Mannerheim Cross in April 1942, the reporter of the Aunus (Olonez) radio came to interview him in the base. The natinonally famous reporter, Pekka Tiilikainen asked in a magnificent voice vibrant with patriotism:
- Tell us, Illu, about your feelings at this great moment?
Juutilainen answered - in a live transmission:
- Well, at the moment I am thinking about the delicious cabbage casserole that my mother used to make.
Humour and practical jokes had a serious purpose. The major part of a fighter pilot's life consisted of waiting for a scramble alarm - life in constant nervous tension. In addition to chatting, reading or card playing practical jokes (for example rigging a tripping wire across the path to the canteen or booby-trapping a toilet door) were a way to relieve stress and think of something else than the next sortie.
Whenever there was a special mission for Juutilainen, the young replacement pilots would literally crowd around him, each one begging: "Illu, take me with you!" They knew: when flying as his wingman they would find action. Moreover, they were sure that the enemy was not able to surprise Illu, and in a dogfight he would save you in case you got in trouble.

Man, writing fiction must be a hassle. Fanfiction is no exception.

Holy shit, that would be adorable with witches.

I liked the part where he had to get a cat down from a tree

That part was gey. You suck.

did writefag just meet a deadline or am I losing it?

Nope, I just had Duke Nukem fever for a while

>>178

I think it's okay, certainly not as good as some of my other non-fanfiction stuff but once I get into the story and the silly hijinks it'll get better.

I like what I've read so far. I feel sorry for Sanya,I get the feeling that the real Illu is much different than her dream Illu and I'm not just talking about gender.

You know what? I finished it and I quite liked it. Now, how many months do we have to wait for a chapter two?

Anything interesting (or not) would do.  In fact I found that there are so many stuff you can use to write for things like series for daily life or whatever, it is just so amazing.
(There is a part in a book where Lilya Litvyak's mechanic talked about her in the regiment... omg, I LOVE IT.)

As for the topic of the fanfic, well, I was thinking of writing whatever I find interesting.
My specialty is tragedy, however, I do write some short stories about eilanya's daily life during and after the war. :)

>>173
According to official she IS very popular among her countrymen (countrywomen)... which is why it makes me feel SO excited about when will they released the details about her army life before 501, particularly with her wingman Lily.
Before going to 501 she was the cold beauty but now with Sanya she is totally like a teenage boy... awwww man I could not wait to see the reaction from her fans.  They are gonna go all crazy.

And yes, I think I have read everything I could get my hands on.  But some reviews are always nice, they might inspire new ideas. :)

What book was that where Litvyak's mechanic talked about her? I would love to know more about the "White Lily of Stalingrad". As for those short stories, I might like to read those too.

A Dance with Death by Anne Noggle
Haha it will take some time, I wrote them in Chinese... ;)

Name: Anonymous 2011-03-27 2:02

>>190
Well, damn, I'm not picking up a language just to read fanfiction. I will have to look into that book though.

Name: ShirleyxMinna Writefag 2011-03-27 2:09

>>186

Well Sanya's parents have to react, and considering how wealthy her father his he is going to try and get shit done, but of course no one is a match for the great Illu. Eila and Sanya won't really start connecting yet, it'll just be them scoping each other out, Eila wondering what it is about Sanya that makes her so nervous and Sanya trying to decide if Eila is actually Illu.

Also, what was everyone's reaction to the tone of the first chapter? I know we originally talked about it being comedic hetare silliness but for some reason it got pretty serious. Don't worry though, I don't intend on making this darkness and brooding, I plan for plenty of shenanigans to happen but I also want that moment when Sanya opens up to Eila to be more meaningful.

I dunno, I'm a sucker for the hurt/comfort/healing/consoling stuff.

Name: Anonymous 2011-03-27 2:22

>>192
I thought the tone was alright. Could have done with less of Sanya's wishful thinking and more Eila. Comforting stuff is nice and I am a sucker for sappy stuff but try not to make this too dark or serious. Just don't add any rape an hurry up and write the next chapter.

Just one thing, it should be "rode off" rather than "road off"

CHAPTER 2 FUCKING WHEN?

Name: ShirleyxMinna Writefag 2011-03-27 11:49

>>194

I even made a mental note to change that...god damnit

Name: Anonymous 2011-03-27 16:22

I have to agree. When Eila showed up the chapter really hit it's stride.

Name: ShirleyxMinna Writefag 2011-03-28 0:31

Hey it's only chapter 1, there's plenty more story for Eila to be awesome/d'aw-worthy/silly/cute/badass/etc.

Name: Anonymous 2011-03-28 13:38

>>198
examples?

Name: ShirleyxMinna Writefag 2011-03-28 16:27

>>199

Well we've already discussed (if a little too much) the whole capture/rape scene with Eila, but she won't go down without a fight. The preview I posted had Eila being quite badass if you ask me, and the time before and after that scene when she is tending to a sick Sanya will be d'aw worthy. She the god damn Illu too, she's gonna be pretty slick as well (think Han Solo or James Bond) especially when she's in public.
