Out of all the hobbies and fandom out there, anime fans are some of the most backwards people I know. It's the only fandom I can think of where it's members actually encourage each other NOT to support the very thing they love. Why is that?

I'd rather not pay for an audio track that I won't use, and for localization that I do not want. I'd rather import the DVDs, rip them, slap some fan subs on them, and then burn them back. At least my monies would go back to Japs that made the shit.
Dubbing companies ultimately are making a product that I don't care for, and are doing nothing to change that.
