The Legend of Red

Name: Anonymous 2009-03-24 3:27

Just wondering if you'll come over here per my suggestion, Mr. Catalogue.

Name: Bard of Red 2009-03-25 2:22

He didn't say anything so I guess there was nothing to it, or nothing he noticed.

Name: Choros 2009-03-25 2:24

Huh. Disappointing, kind of.
If he didn't say anything more about the arson story, want to tell another childhood fight story or something?

Name: Bard of Red 2009-03-25 2:30

I could.  The remaining ones are just him and Blue confronting people they thought were jerks.  I don't think there's anything that you might find interesting, given your tastes.

Name: Anonymous 2009-03-25 2:35

Do you think you could get Red himself to tell some stories?

Name: Choros 2009-03-25 2:36

Hmm. Part of me tells me that you're right, but the completionist in me is actually pretty interested in "him and Blue confronting people they thought were jerks" in case I ever convince an animation studio to put together storyboards. I'd hate to miss out on another facet of the story.

It's up to you, sir.

One of you would have to A) Get a drawfag and B) Get behind a proxy yourself to go ask him.

Red has himself said that he would have liked to see some of his life drawn.

>>85

They're both pretty short, I can wrap them into one post.  Just a few minutes.

Name: Bard of Red 2009-03-25 2:44

The first one is some more Cowboy Justice.  He and Blue spot this kid being picked on.  Now, as Red puts it, this kid was a douchebag to them, and was frequently a bully himself.  Red decides that if he helps out, the kid will quit harassing them.  So he rushes in, and Blue calls him an idiot, only to come running after him a few seconds later.

The other one is when some punk cut a huge swath out of Red's hair, and so Blue and him decide to have some revenge.  Blue lures him out into the open and then Red jumps him, then they cut his hair all weird and leave him there.

Name: Choros 2009-03-25 2:44

>Red has himself said that he would have liked to see some of his life drawn.
Hmm. I haven't drawn much in ages, but I'll certainly try and draw something when I have the time.
We've got the virtual-Blue, of course, but did Red ever talk about what he himself looked like?
I've been envisioning him as Red from Pokemon Special all this time, I admit.

Name: Bard of Red 2009-03-25 2:46

He off hand mentioned he was Irish-Catholic once, so he probably has red hair.  Again, you could just make a thread and ask him, as long as it's distractingly on topic.

Name: Choros 2009-03-25 2:52

>so he probably has red hair
Oh, is that where the "Red" moniker comes from?
I've been wondering about that.
And then "Blue" naturally from "Red"?

>as long as it's distractingly on topic
Haha, trap Red with his own thread-style. Alright. I hope that he doesn't drift away from /a/ anytime soon, I guess.

Name: Bard of Red 2009-03-25 2:54

It comes from the first Pokemon Game they had, respectively.

He had Red, she had Blue.

Red's usually on this time of night, though you will have to tempt him with some artfaggotry.

Name: Choros 2009-03-25 2:59

>Red's usually on this time of night, though you will have to tempt him with some artfaggotry.
Oh, I'm a really fucking slow drawer. I couldn't whip something up by tonight if I tried.
It's why I don't drawfag in the drawfag threads, actually.
I'll keep it in mind for a later date, though, definitely.

>It comes from the first Pokemon Game they had, respectively. He had Red, she had Blue.
Oh, I remember him mentioning that in one of the archived threads. Something like "We've always been like that, even with Pokemon!" I really failed to put two and two together, somehow...

Care to tell the birthday money story, then?
(I apologize if I'm sounding pushy at all, good Bard. At your leisure, if you would. We've got all the time in the world after all, I guess.)

Name: Bard of Red 2009-03-25 3:03

You could always ask /co/ or /tg/, since he visits both boards.  Just don't tell them he's from /a/.

Anyway, the birthday money story?  Got it, just hang on a sec.

Name: Choros 2009-03-25 3:07

Ah, found it.
>There used to be the Student Council President I dug, but my friend, let's call her Blue, chased her away because she was a slut who had 7 boyfriends in secret.
and then
>I'm Red and she's Blue. That's the way it's always been. With clothes, with avatars, with our Pokemon games!

... I feel like such a stalker. Gotta keep reminding myself that it's the journalistic side of me driving me on, not some creepy stalker side of me.

Name: Bard of Red 2009-03-25 3:07

Red had just gotten a 30$ for his birthday to do with whatever he pleased.  He hadn't decided on spending it yet, so he and Blue just decided to play with the toys they had.  They were playing power rangers as usual, when all of a sudden, her light and sound Power Ranger Combining Weapon, a toy he very much wanted for himself, broke.

Red didn't even hesitate.  He grabbed her and forced his parents to take them out to the store, where he spent every last penny on replacing her broken toy on his own birthday.

>You could always ask /co/ or /tg/, since he visits both boards. Just don't tell them he's from /a/.
Are they familiar with Blue and whatnot over there at all, or...?

Name: Bard of Red 2009-03-25 3:11

Blue was mentioned briefly in /tg/ as a non-specific party member in the DnD game he plays.

As far as I know he doesn't post on /co/ just lurks.

So you'll probably have to show them some D'AWWW.

The power ranger one is the best for this.

Name: Choros 2009-03-25 3:19

Whoops, forgot my name again.

>Blue was mentioned briefly in /tg/ as a non-specific party member in the DnD game he plays.
Were you present for that thread on /tg/, too? You amaze me, sir, to be sure.

Well, that's all the childhood stories that we know of.
It's up to you again. Proceeding chronologically, maybe?
Unless there's something else that you want to share.

Name: Bard of Red 2009-03-25 3:22

Actually, I post in /tg/ too, hence the DnD Bard reference.  I just happened across him one day in a "My party fucking sucks" thread.

I think it's probably enough stories for tonight.  You probably have enough to convince a drawfagging it, so you can hear the real deal from him, if you show some of his other stories.  I'd probably try to lure him out with how he looks first, so you can help them out more.

To be honest, I want to see this in pictures too.

Name: Anonymous 2009-03-25 3:25

Alright, then. Pictures it is.
Will you ever be back here to tell stories before then, yourself?

why does dis not save form data
come on, shii

Sure, I'll tell what I know, but there's only so much to it.  Most of them were one or two line anecdotes, so I have few long ones.

Sounds awesome. Many thanks for the treasure trove of stories tonight, sir Bard.
I guess that I have no idea as to when we'll be on dis at the same time again, so see you sometime later.

Name: Anonymous 2009-03-25 4:08

Damn, it sucks that I missed this, but at least it's archived here to read. Thank you for this, Bard.

Is me by the way. I'll be lurking here from time to time  just checking for updates. Hopefully I can catch you guys later if you go on to tell more stories, and id not I apologize in advance.

Once again, thanks Mr. Bard, as well as Choros, Stilts, and all the anons that helped put this together, you guys are great.

In case you all are wondering, I have the details on how they look.

"Red" does in fact have red hair.  In his youth, he wore it down to his shoulders, but in highschool on, he wore a regular guys haircut.  It's a little wavy, so it curves up in the back and at the sides, so it's really unruly.  He's also got green eyes and stands a bit shorter than most men.

"Blue" has straight black hair which she always wears in a ponytail and dark eyes, as well as suntanned skin.  She has a mark under her left eye.  It's actually a small scar, but she plays it off as a beauty mark.  She's slender with B cup breasts and somewhat thicker thighs than someone of her height and weight.

This post will self destruct in 10 seconds

Name: Mysterious Informant 2009-03-26 3:38

Ah, yes, I forgot.  Both Red and Blue tend to dress conservatively, as they're both becoming teachers.

Red's got a near perpetual 5 o' clock shadow he's pretty proud of and Blue's hair tie for her pony tail is actual fabric, instead of elastic, and it's red(oddly enough)

Name: Anonymous 2009-03-26 3:50

Oh mysterious informant, it's so obvious who you are.
