So Blue gets a cat for her birthday.  I forget what kind it is, it doesn't really matter, but she simply adores it.  Now she takes it outside with her before she goes to break her birthday pinata, and sets it down for just a second, then it darts off.

She just loses it.  Red said he had never seen her this sad in his whole life, so he just takes off after the cat.  He chases it down the alley but loses sight of the cat.  He's not going to give up, though, so he keeps at it.  Searching and going up and down each block, going out a mile or two, he said. 

He kept looking until long after the sun had set, and it was rising again when he finally found the cat.  He was exhausted but he still managed to take it all the way back to Blue's house and give it back to her before he fell asleep on her couch. 

Naturally, he missed school the next day and got detention.

Sorry I told you the wrong story.

You've got all the time in the world, Sir Bard.

So it's Christmas time.  They're having a party to celebrate, and Red's feeling pretty good about it.

The party is going along just fine for a while but then their parents force them together for something.  Red's okay with this so he gives her a hug, assuming it's for a picture when he notices his mother hang a mistletoe above them.

They throw a tantrum and try to run away but they're eventually caught and forced to kiss.  Red doesn't think it's so bad, but Blue gets mad as a hornet and runs away immediately.  She doesn't show back up for a week, but when she does, she still has his present and tells him to never speak of it ever again.

Since I seem to be the only current active one here, who don't you choose the next story, based on whatever you find the most interesting?

I want to wait a bit for the others to show.

I screwed up my name in the last post, lol.  I wish dis would save form information.  Anyway, just a few minutes.

I've got a question about the Christmas story, actually.

So she tells him to never speak of the incident ever again, of course, but what do you mean about his present? I assume it's Blue present to Red, so...
She never got to give it to him at the party because of the fiasco so she gives it to him the week later, or something?

The first fight that comes to my mind was the time back when they were in summer vacation.  Blue and him got together one day and went out to go get some ice cream.  In their neighborhood, they still had an Ice Cream man who came along most days.  He and Blue knew the route real well, so they waited on the corner for an hour or some such in the heat until he finally pulled up. 

Just as they were going to order, they got shoved out of the way by the older kids.  Blue got angry and went to pick a fight but she got knocked down in the face.  Red just goes crazy on them after that.  He had some long description of right hooks and shit but I can't remember.  In any case not only does he beat the shit out of them, but he makes them pay for Blue's Ice Cream and forced them to apologize to her in front of the neighbors.

My jaw dropped somewhere along the course of this sentence. I can only imagine what went through Blue's head.

At the time, he claimed it was just cowboy justice.

Haha. Not to derail the nicely chronological timeline we're building here, but did he ever share the actual arson story? I'm kind of curious.

That one is easy enough.  His friend was playing with a lighter in school and ended up catching the whole room on fire like an idiot.

... Oh. Wow. And Red took the fall for it? At least a nasty suspension, I'd imagine.

He got Alternative Education, which is prison school for a semester.

Yeeesh. Did he mention anything about what became of being away from Blue for a semester like that?
Or is that where the arson story ends?
