LELOUCH IS STILL ALIVE

Name: Anonymous 2008-09-29 9:45

He has Charles' Code which he received when the man choked him. The Code activates first when you die, which happened. And before you say can't have Code and a Geass at the same time, the Code wasn't the one C.C. had, meaning that Lelouch was the first one to achieve Code Geass. He's now travelling the country-side with C.C., living as immortals.

That's the only reason for C.C. to be suddenly so happy again. Also, before you say that C.C. was just talking to the dead like with Marianne, that's not true. She could only talk to her because of the nature of her Geass which allowed her to implant herself into the "hearts" of others. That's how she was able to talk with Marianne. Lelouch's Geass was entirely different, meaning that she could only have spoken to him if he was there.

Also, the screenie of the cart driver who is masking his features competely supports this.

What further supports this is that Nunnally got Lelouch's memories when she touched her, just like Lelouch did when he touched C.C. back in Narita. The only way this could have happened is his Code activating. This pretty much confirms that he has the Code and is alive.

C.C.'s words in the end translated: "Geass is the power of kings, it will isolate you... well, I guess thats a little wrong... eh, Lelouch"

i think it's just the viewers decision(opinion) to think that Lelouch is alive or dead...
i don't know either but it would be nice if there will be specials for code geass not R3, I think R3 will be bad...
i just want to see all of them at Ashford academy...
Charles will become the principal wahehehe, schneizel will become a teacher and C.C. will be a normal student in ashford academy...

Alright, it seems that the last episode was pretty complex and out of most of the people I've talked to, a lot of people don't seems to get it. I'm going to tie up all the lose ends with this post.

The Code is the power of immortality, which C.C. has. The 98th Emperor of Britannia, Charles, has the Code. He transferred the Code to Lelouch while strangling him in episode 21. Lelouch wanted this, and he deliberately told Suzaku to not interfere.
I
However, the Code does not activate unless receiver dies first. This is shown when the nun kills C.C. after transferring the Code to her. Charle’s Code activated when he shot himself. Here is one of the big misconceptions that most people have: The transfer of the Code does not involve death of the transferrer. The nun was crazy and killed herself after she transferred her code. VV was injured from the battle and died. So basically, after episode 21, Lelouch had Charle’s Code (inactivated) and C.C’s contracted Geass.

When Lelouch got stabbed by Zero/Suzaku at the end, his Code was activated. What supports this is that Nunnally got Lelouch's memories when she touched him, just like Lelouch did when he touched C.C. back in Narita. The only way this could have happened is his Code activating. This pretty much confirms that he has the Code.

Unlike C.C., and Charles, who lost their Geasses because the people who contracted them died, Lelouch didn’t obtain C.C.’s Code and thus kept his Geass, while having the Code (which he obtained from Charles at the same time). Lelouch therefore has achieved CODE GEASS.

Basically, Lelouch is the person driving the cart in the last scene. He, who is now immortal, travels the brand new world he has created together with the also immortal C.C. C.C. talks to Lelouch in the end by saying: "Geass is the power of kings, it will isolate you... well, I guess thats a little wrong... eh, Lelouch?"

Now comes the second big misconception. A lot of people say C.C. was just talking to the dead like with Marianne, that's not true. She could only talk to her because of the nature of her Geass which allowed her to implant herself into the "hearts" of others. That's how she was able to talk with Marianne. Lelouch's Geass was entirely different, meaning that she could only have spoken to him if he was there. Also, the fact that the cart driver is masking his features completely supports this fact, considering the fact that Lelouch is now considered dead.

I can't believe people are still seriously having this argument.

@Kaya33 You're argument doesn't hold, if for no other reason than while the phonetic spelling of Lelouch's name is "Rurushu" in Japanese his creators DO know his name begins with an "L". They know that in the English language "L" and "R" are NOT the same letter, and would not make such a stupid mistake. Also, if it did somehow stand for L.L. it breaks their own pattern of C.C. being her name instead of "C2" or V.V. instead of "V2".

IN ALL HONESTY, the R2 of season 2, most likely stands for Rebellion 2.

@anonymous (47):

in my opinion. what kaya33 said can also be possible. since we don't know what the creators had in mind in putting up the title. the real name of C2 and V2 are not yet revealed (or is there already?). then how they were pronounced can still be the determiners.

Double spam post...damn...
I haven't seen the last episode since I no longer have a TV or care to watch an upload online, but I know the basic plot of the end.  R2 has nothing to do with Lelouch.  That's obvious.  Japanese people know the difference between R's and L's in Western languages, even if they can't say them.  Lelouch is already LL because his name is Lelouch Lamperouge, so don't go making "L2" the focus of your argument.  It's just like CCA and Cowboy Bebop.  They didn't die.  Certain people just assume that they're dead.  Nu Gundam and Sazabi didn't re-enter and Spike just passed out from blood loss.  End of story.  This will be debated for the next eon unless they make a sequel series, and the producers and directors won't make a sequel series unless they want to sell plamo 'cause they don't really give a damn what every otaku who watches their show thinks as long as they're watching it.  You could almost argue for Wolfwood, Light, and Itachi to still be alive if other characters hadn't referred to them as being dead.  Why do you think "realistic" mecha and scifi anime have lasted this long?  We could have just ended at First Gundam and never had any AUs or late UC sequel crap, Macross, Patlabor, Eva, Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Panic, Planetes, Fafner, Eureka 7, or Code Geass.   We could have just stuck with Appleseed and Sakura Taisen and we wouldn't need any cyber- or steampunk anime.  The stories are all the same, and the machines basically work on the same half-imaginary physics of negating lasers with mega particles or replacing Star Wars-style light sabers with prog knives.  Nothing has really changed in the last 30 years with scifi anime.  Everything just has to be redone with new names to sell plamo and porn to people who don't recognize the identical storylines and plot twists.  Also, never get anyone pregnant before a war-  YOU WILL DIE IN THE NEXT EPISODE.

First of all, for all of you saying that you've found information on websites from the authors saying something or rather, please post a link to an ACTUAL DATA-BASED WEBSITES.
Any website with the word 'wiki' in it, means that anybody on the planet can put whatever the hell they want onto it.
That information is probably fake.

ALSO
Lelouch is dead. If he was alive, he would have simply started healing in the middle of that huge crowd. He didn't give Geass to Suzaku, or we would have seen that trippy scene where their minds merge.
When Suzaku said "I accept"
it meant he accepted his fate of being Zero, only Zero, and leaving his old self behind. It had nothing to do with Geass.

When C.C. was "talking" to Lelouch, it didn't mean he was there in telepathy or in actuality.
In Japanese culture, it is common to speak aloud to close friends and family that's dead.
Like in certain anime's where children speak to their dead parents (Ouran Host Club, anyone?)

Also, he did not recieve Charles' code, because to take the Code it is not simply being choked by someone- Lelouch would have had to personally TAKEN IT from him. Charles' and Marianne's codes were simply lost into C's world.

Honestly, I don't know why everyone wants Lelouch to be alive so badly.
The ending that CLAMP gave Code Geass was beautiful and poetic, and it keeps well to Lelouch's character.
For a hero to give up his life it shows the ultimate self-sacrifice- and Lelouch was willing to give up everything and anything for his sister Nunally. It was a beautiful ending, and to keep him alive for another season would just be pushing it a bit.

Lelouch is dead. It doesnt matter how much you want him back hes dead thats life.

C2, V2 if you say those names you shouldnt be in this thread it is utter blasphemy against C.C and V.V's names the V.A's were good but they are the worse at pronouncing names.

R3 will not occur.
Code Geass : Lelouch of the Rebellion R1/Round 1
Code Geass : Lelouch of the Rebellion R2/Round 2
Code Geass : season 3 still can exist. Lelouch's story is over but the Code Geass world can still continue.

yeah no one could live after being stabbed like that but i think he is alive

No offense but Ichirō Ōkouchi (HE'S the one who wrote this, not CLAMP. They just did the character designs) is a horrible writer.
In the very beginning the anime was good. But the plot was SO predictable. And everything was in black and white. You could totally tell that the author favored Suzaku because he NEVER lost, and whenever he was in trouble, it was not due to his own fault. If you think about it, Lelouch was totally justified in killing Britannians because they killed the Japanese for the dumbest reasons, like when they eradicated the WHOLE MOTHERFUCKING GHETTO? And Suzaku just pretends NOT to know. BULLSHIT. You're in the army. If I had to grade it on the storyline itself I would give it a D. You can tell the prompt for this story was probably not created by the author himself, considering how crappy the plot got as you kept on watching. And all the characters were SHALLOW, and never really explored anything. They had generic inner angst, and I felt there was no moral, or anything for that matter. Yeah, the ending was crap, and despite what the author says LELOUCH LIVES ON. SO TAKE THAT YOU SHITTY WRITER. U:<
Best part of the anime? Were the characters. And they were made and drawn by CLAMP. GO FIGURE.

Code Geass R3 has been confirmed.

Name: Anonymous 2010-02-08 22:59

Code Geass R3 so he must be alive!

Name: Blueeee 2010-02-09 15:13

That theory is a very popular one, but the guy who wrote this anime specifically added an extra scene in the end of the last DVD where C.C said Lelouch was dead.

And believe me I am still alive.
I'm doing Science and I'm still alive.
I feel FANTASTIC and I'm still alive.
While you're dying I'll be still alive.
And when you're dead I will be still alive.

Lelouch vi Britannia is dead but Lelouch Lamperouge is still alive:
-Orange is smiling
-Lelouch's hand is with blood so we can't see the geass' mark
-Nanally can see his past when she touch Lelouch
-He did a promess for CC

Name: Anonymous 2010-02-20 12:55

tl;dr code geass is LOLDEEP

Name: anon2 2010-03-13 5:04

New information from the writers of Code Geass states they in fact are making a third season due to fan's wishes. Not sure what it's going to be about or if it will be any good, but if you want information on it you can google it. The team has a site that says it all. Lelouch lives on in 2010.

Name: Anonymous 2010-03-13 15:33

HE
IS
DEAD
DEAL WITH IT

I don't like it as much as other Lulufags but it is the only truth. IMO, if they somehow revive him they just lost, fans are not everything and if they truly belive that CG has ended then they have nothing to do now.

I agree with this guy rite above my post, but I doubt you guys got the message...IT WAS ON THE SCREEN IN FRONT OF YOUR FACES! HE DIED!  Rosebud.  I see a light.  I'm so cold.  It's so dark. I see my mother.  All that shit.  Lelouch got fuckin deadificated.

Why would he deliberately start healing in front of the crowd? That defeats the entire purpose of why he got Suzaku to "kill" him in front of the world. Evidently, Orange and a couple of other characters seemed to be in on the fact Suzaku was going to kill him. I'm sure they got him away from the crowds after he was stabbed.
