what's the deal with the "weeaboo" hate?

>50% of 4chan is in some way related to japan. this is the best haven for japanophiles i've ever seen. Why the hate?

Whenever someone calls somebody else a "weeaboo" they are trying to cover up the fact that they are "weeaboo" theirself.
I don't know why, but they do. It's not even a big deal, "weeaboo" isn't something all that bad...
