what's the deal with the "weeaboo" hate?

>50% of 4chan is in some way related to japan. this is the best haven for japanophiles i've ever seen. Why the hate?

I like weeaboos, without weeaboos anime fans would just be a bunch of elitist nerdy assholes. Sure I can see why people find them annoying but at the end of the day I'm happy they're enthusiastic, energetic and fun people to be around. I'm not about to shoot someone down for being a fan of something.

They are some of the most accepting people I meet. At my con, cosplayers are so stuck up, will judge you on your costume and how good your sewing is, weeaboos just like the fact you're cosplaying and I'm glad they can show such appreciation without thinking about the finer points and being a buzzkill.
