the show Beck:Mongolian Chop Squad had neither. While it had romance, there wasn't any sex in it, and it's all about music.

Shonen is all violence with lame sex, seinen is a little philosophy (more than Western shit anyway) and bad sex, and shojo and josei are nothing but REALLY BAD SEX.  Does this thread really prove anything?  Despite gratuitous amounts of violence and bad sex, at least it's smarter than American stuff, where we actually outsource all our shitty movies and TV to be made in Canada and Mexico with shitty "fuck and kill and do stupid shit!!!" plots that have no point AT ALL.

iv spoken before but those critiseing anime evidently havent watch much at all or have only heard about it, you say its all violence, but turn on tv chances are theres gonna be violence, go to the cinema, the movie you watch will probably have a fight in it...fuck it, go outside you'll probs find kids fighting...and sex? well you usually have to go out of your way to find it...and btw, someone said that nerds/otakus or something do loads of drugs, steal and shit...thats bullshit. teenagers on the whole do that shit, adults do that shit, heck, kindergardeners probably do...just depends on the person.
