Almost every anime in it's original Japanese form has language, violence, and nudity or sexual references not acceptable for day-time television here in America. I don't see what the Hell this debate is about. Of course anime has sex and violence.

Dont like the blood and sex, dont watch it. The child-safe, americanized version of naruto should suit you well. Have fun in the kiddie pool with yugioh and pokemon. Me, i think the blood gore and sex is not all senseless, and, actually, most of it isnt senseless. Negima, well, thats an example of unjustified nudity, but others such as Rurouni Kenshin, Eureka 7, they've got gore, but it has a reason.

The statement doesn't have any ground. Like Wolf mentioned, there are plenty of child-safe shows. Pokemon, Yugioh, Shounen Onmyouji, Duel Masters, Zoids, Viewtiful Joe, Shinzo, just about all Saturday morning cartoons.
I mean, you could say they are all violent, but plenty of American cartoons are violent. Shoot, Powerpuff girls was violent. Mojo Jojo had a running/bloody nose and broken brain when our lovable little girls were through with him at almost everytime. Batman, Superman, the entirety of the Justice League is American and yet there is violence at a constant.
Its incredulous to say that Anime is nothing but sex and violence. Yes, there are the extreme gore-loaded shows like Elfen Lied, and the sexual ones like Tenchi. But like most things, Anime has genres too it. Action, Adventure, Villain of the Week, Romance, Hentai, etc. It all really depends on the Anime. Don't lump them up so unjustly.

I support the editing of inappropriate content in anime for American distribution.
I like some cartoons, some older ones that happen to originate from Japan so I guess that they're "anime". Anime in general and especially its disrespectful and inconsiderate fans (or otaku) though are starting to annoy me. I've seen enough anime over the years from television, rental stores, and clubs to determine that most of it is nothing but sex, violence, profanity, among other things that are contrary to family values. Most of the stuff aired on Adult Swim isn't too bad, then again most of it is not in its uncut Japanese form. Anything rated TV-MA regardless of being anime or not is blocked on my television. At one point in time I may have been interested in anime but not anymore, in fact I dislike most of it.
Aside from the actual animes having questionable content, I've seen too many otakus who have no problem doing drugs, stealing, lying, violating the law of chastity, insulting faith, listening to Satanic music, and worshipping Satan.
