Need a new animmu - ran out of GiTS

As above. Seen all of GiTS now, so I need a new anime.

100% Humorous or romantic anime is out (although comic relief and/or romance subplots are OK). Futuristic setting is preferred, but I can go in for fantasy if it's done well. Mecha anime doesn't appeal to me much, but then again I liked Macross Zero.

Please give a reason along with your suggestions because it's really hard to get proper impressions from Wikipedia (which is also a spoiler minefield)

You can suggest anything you like. I'm a anime noob and so I haven't seen much of anything.

Bonus: if you can suggest a good steampunk Anime you are GOD (I've seen Steamboy). +9000pts if it includes Alpha Shade style airships.

Tekkon Kinkreet, it leans more towards cyberpunk but I think you'll enjoy it anyways.
