I want a doll.

Hey everyone. I have decided that I want to buy a nice, high-quality doll with an anime or manga-esque appearance. I think it would be a great conversation piece to have on a shelf in my dorm room, and I could practice my sewing/design skills making clothing for it. Does anyone have any recommendations that would be both affordable and available in the U.S.? I have looked into dollfies, but I'm afraid those are a bit out of my price range. Any ideas?
