Haruhi sucks bad

I rented the Haruhi Suzumiya anime from Netflix and let me tell you that: THIS ANIME SUCKS!

So what's the thing about? It's about a bored teen (seriously she looks more of a jailbait) name Haruhi Suzumiya who forms a crappy club title SOS Brigade to find supernatural stuff.

When I saw this anime, I immediately got bored. All this anime does is talk, talk and talk more without no action whatsoever. Because Haruhi lives a bored life, she intends to create a world where only "fun and imagination" rules.

So what's the point of this anime? NONE!! It's plain horrible. I hate it. It makes no sense. It has no action. No nothing!!! If Haruhi wants to do something cool (and unusual), she should do something more realistic like volunteering or giving sign language to monkeys. Looking for ESPers, aliens, whatever makes no ABSOLUTE sense. The only good thing about her is when she did the Phoenix Wright thing in a certain episode but other than that, the series is boring.

Another thing all the strange stuff happens to her male friend, Kyon. He narrates the episodes so it feels as if he WERE the protagonist and NOT Haruhi.

So I don't get why this piece of trash is so popular. Maybe because of Haruhi's personality? Well I've seen similar attitudes to this in other anime so that's not a new thing. Worst of all, it's apparently popular with typical internet nerd-tards who like little lolita girls with uniform fetish (I bet that's what this anime is created for: typical otaku nerds with uniform fetish).

Throw in some (weird) philosophy and sci-fi crap (favorite of many nerds) makes this anime twice the boring. Less than exciting characters speaking in monotone voice makes it triple the boring. Its OPs and EDs aren't all that great either.

I thought the Haruhi anime was going to be somewhat like a police drama you know with murder, investigations, courtrooms; you know it! Instead I found myself with this kind of crap: kids sitting in some room doing NOTHING!!!!!

So still you wanna see this crap? Go ahead I won't stop you. But keep in mind that if you wanna do something cool in life, then go for realistic goals. You can create your own world but whatever happens in the real world happens to you so it's better to live your life at your fullest and with those around you.

uhm... allow me to explain something. HARUHI WAS BASED ON A BOOK SERIES. OF COURSE IT'LL INVOLVE A LOT OF TALKING. Now, please... GTFO. You don't deserve to even be NEAR a computer, no less USE one.

Follow-up to my previous post there... I know that some books are all action and stuff... But main plot development is through talking in most books.

Everything else, takes the anime norm and actually takes away from it. It's second next to Naruto for the most overrated, weaboo inducing anime.

Hats off to this anime for inducing the illusion among fans that people who don't go mad over this anime are all "too stupid to understand anything" though. The writer must know a lot about the psychology of elitist fags.

To add on, they fail at trying to parody other anime because it doesn't come off as funny. Any other anime who has done parodies has done them better.

Weird; I thought Haruhi wasn't anywhere near as good as everyone said it would be (seeing as I have MEGA-weeaboo friends), but I thought the first 10-odd episodes of Lucky Star were pretty good.

And yeah, all the parodies just fell kinda flat. The funniest parody anime I've ever seen is Excel Saga, nothing else has amused me so much.

Even Haruhi's stupidity made the Cebu prisoners practice the Hare Hare Yukai dance as shown in Youtube, but it was eventually deleted. Just imagine monkeys dancing like retards.

Anyways I enjoyed watching this anime. The characters had an interesting character growth through the series. Although it somehow relates to harem series, which I don't enjoy, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this series, and can't wait for season 2.

On another note,
if you didn't like it, why did you watch it?

Nothing you say? Who said this would be a police drama? Your own assumptions are what caused you to be so disappointed.

Let's say you were watching lucky star, you'd be expecting some boring scenes and useless talking scenes.
You assumed that the Haruhi anime would be all action, like your  "Police dramas".

I like haruhi... but I will admit, that in the ways of philosophy, Neon Genesis beat it by about a decade.

I found the Haruhi Suzumiya anime interesting.
Personality of the characters, is much clear than
most Japanese people.
Especially, the difference between Haruhi and Kyon, was prominent by way of talking in japanese.

But I imagine that it would be terribly boring,
if you translate it to english.
Just like... I can only enjoy american talkshows, when it is not translated to other language.

The Haruhi Suzumiya anime is more like talkshows, in the sense its dialog is more important than the story. I strongly recommend not to watch unless you know what that is.
