Saimoe thread, so as to not shit up /a/ with whining for the next three months. However, when canvassing for votes is necessary, imagedumps are the only way and motherfuckers will just have to deal
Anyway, preliminaries are over and main matches start 08/08.
Here is some fag's blog with coverage, secondhand from AS threads (for earlier information, you'll have to taint your history with that shithole by reading their threads): http://synchroom.wikispaces.com/SaiMoe2007
D-11(08/27):
(Maria@Hayate the Combat Butler)
晃・E・フェラーリ@ARIA The NATURAL(Akira E. Ferrari@ARIA The NATURAL)
(Hiiragi Kagami@Lucky Star)
Bootleg doll probably takes D-3.
Can't guess on D-7, but I'll vote for Nagisa.
D-11 for me is Akira because I love to lose. Maria vs Kagami is supposedly a close match but I don't really see it not going to Kagami.
D4 is Yoshinoya for me, though Akiko takes it. I'd vote Rena for D8 but she's going to win anyway, so Iroha. Voting Hiro on D12 and I think she'll win that one. Makoto has had her rare moments in Xenoglossia, though. Shuffle's staying power hasn't appeared to be that strong.

28 August winners:
694 votes Minase Akiko@Kanon
992 votes Ryuuguu Rena@Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
710 votes Hiro@Hidamari Sketch
oh noes yoshinoya
That's it for Block D. Kanon has been the heavyweight but D2 includes Kagami, who has massive support. D1 is up in the air, though I'd go for Yuno...Unfortunately, StrikerS dolts would most likely pose the end of her with Hayate, or possibly even as early as next round by dollfags for Barasuishou. Couldn't beat Kagami anyway.
Contests on 30 August (Block E):
E-1(08/30):
(Yoko@Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann)
(Kakizaki Megu@Rozen Maiden Ouverture)
(Juujou Shion@Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru)
E-5(08/30):
XENOGLOSSIA(Minase Iori@iDOLM@STER XENOGLOSSIA)
(Itsukushima Takako@Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru)
座敷童@xxxHOLiC(Zashikiwarashi@xxxHOLiC)
A few sordid, tragic stories in these rounds. /a/'s chance to vote for Yoko.
Megu, Iori, and Tamao for me. As for predictions...that's a tough call -- there's too many series or characters that haven't shown up yet to judge participating fanbase size. These three brackets are probably pretty weak overall.

As much as /a/ loves Yoko, I think Megu's damaged goods attributes creates more moe feelings in the Japanese audience.

30 August winners:
587 Juujou Shion@Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru
707 Itsukushima Takako@Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru
613 Suzumi Tamao@Strawberry Panic
OtoBoku somewhat unexpectedly comes through with two. And Tamao wins hers, naturally.
Contests on 31 August:
E-2(08/31):
(Shinku@Rozen Maiden Ouverture)
ARIA The NATURAL(Athena Glory@ARIA The NATURAL)
XENOGLOSSIA(Amami Haruka@iDOLM@STER XENOGLOSSIA)
Haruka is preposterously cute and Athena is love, but I can't say I think the elevens nor the foreign votes will go to anyone but Teabitch.
Shimako. Group over.
I'll be voting for Yaya but she'll come in last. Akira and om nom nom are probably even matches in terms of fanbase, though a few hours' voting will tell.

31 August winners:
898 votes Shinku@Rozen Maiden Ouverture
553 votes Toudou Shimako@Maria-sama ga Miteru OVA
785 votes Nishizawa Ayumu@Hayate the Combat Butler
Stinku took the lead as predicted.
Shimako won by about 90 votes, in a low votecount bracket. Unfortunately, I doubt she'll do well later.
Ayumu beat Akira by a lot -- 335 votes more.
E-11(09/01):
SHUFFLE! MEMORIES(Shigure Asa@SHUFFLE! MEMORIES)
OVA ToHeart2(Komaki Ikuno@OVA ToHeart2)
(Viletta Nu@Code Geass Lelouche of the Rebellion)
Just voting for Momo today. Sanae was in a pretty bad show and was T&A fanservice (which hasn't gone over so well in this tournament so far) so Nodoka probably has more support to win.
Teresa's going to get rolled over by Hayate/StrikerS, and Geass likely trumps two h-game adaptations.

1 September winners:

E-12(09/02):
(Nunnally Lamperouge(Nunnally Vi Britannia)@Code Geass Lelouche of the Rebellion)
(Yamada Kyou@Binbou Shimai Monogatari)
StrikerS(Teana Lanster@Mahou Syoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS)
StrikerS characters in all three today, though two somewhat minor.
Hikari and Henrietta for me, though Hikari is sort of a weak support, with her just being rape-bait and all. SP was strong last year, though.
Only one I'll make a call on is E12, Teana has it. E4 may be a slow voting day and E8 seems an even match with a Negima lesbian, moe queen and anyone from a Nanoha series
At least Henrietta managed to pull ahead in the actual contested bracket of yesterday.
That's group E drawn to a close -- fairly good group overall, even if I don't like Shinku, because the results weren't entirely predictable and a few that appeared to be so at first glance weren't.
Moving on...
Contests on 3 September (Block F)
F-1(09/03):
HiME Zwei(Mashiro Blan de Windbloom@My-Otome Zwei)
OVA(Shimazu Yoshino@Maria-sama ga Miteru OVA)
(Cornelia Li Britannia@Code Geass Lelouche of the Rebellion)
F-9(09/03):
(Seto San@Seto no Hanayome)
(Sonozaki Shion@Higurashi no Naku Koro ni)
(Suouin Kana@Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru)
Yoshino, Mutsuki, Shion for me, though they each have a character that might beat them in the group.
Otome's suffered a loss of fans so Mashiro won't take it, and I've overestimated geass before though Cornelia has a larger part.
Suiseiseki will trample F5.
San and Kana pose a threat to Shion, though it may be a minor one. OtoBoku took two unexpectedly last group though, so we'll see.

3 September winners:
514 votes Shimazu Yoshino@Maria-sama ga Miteru OVA

874 votes Seto San@Seto no Hanayome
Yoshino pulled ahead, desu won as expected, and the newcomer San beat Shion by quite a wide margin.
Contests on 4 September:
F-2(09/04):
(Aruruu@Utawarerumono)
Saint October(Shirafuji Natsuki(White Loli)@Saint October)

Gyu!(Lione@Fushigi Boshi no Futago Hime Gyu!)
Aruruu probably takes F2, Natsuki has a chance but it's unlikely. Alice may be too old and her show a little too disappointing for the tournament.
Pachira for me, though Momoko will probably win.
Aika is going to win and she's as moe as the rest of the Aria cast (abnormally so) -- but I think I could just as easily vote for Monmon. For lulz.

Not gonna bother to vote today, to be honest.
One of the Seto girls will win F3, Mwiki gets F7 just for being rucky stah, and batshit Kaede will probably beat batshit Moonabi in F11 though it's pretty much a competition to lose to Aika and Tsukasa.

That's it for block F, and September 7th is a rest day.
Asagiri Koyuki in F12 only got 99 votes. Tsukasa took her third digit.
Block G next. Some big fights in this block.
G-5(09/08):
Kanon(Kurata Sayuri@Kanon)
(Hiiragi Anri@Happiness!)
BLACK LAGOON The Second Barrage(Revy@BLACK LAGOON The Second Barrage)
Heavily supported, at least judging from /a/ and prelims, StrikerS and Kanon characters Reinforce II and Ayu up in G1.
Sayuri probably takes G5 -- I haven't even seen Kanon and I'll vote for her stupid ahaha catchphrase because I'm an idiot. Revy is popular but not really moe.
G9 is also a tough call, Ayane probably.
Ayu and Sayuri did get the same number of total votes.
Reinforce II was beaten at 813 and Sayuri's runner-up Anri only had 395.
Contests on 9 September:

(Ichinose Nono@Hitohira)
StrikerS(Arf@Mahou Syoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS)
G2 is kind of a toss-up.
For G6, it's got to be Akari.
And for G9, I'll vote Nono, not sure about Polyphonica but apparently Arf suffers from only-in-photograph syndrome in StrikerS.

Winners on 9 September:
399 votes Sakai Chigusa@Shakugan no Shana
519 votes Mizunashi Akari@ARIA The NATURAL
452 votes Ichinose Nono@Hitohira
Ultra-slow voting day. Looks like a lot of group G is too obscure for some people, especially foreign voters, and the 8th may have dispirited a bunch of StrikerS fans.
At least Akari won nicely.
Contests on 10 September:
G-3(09/10):
(Rimone@Simoun)

(Sakuragi Matsuri@Ichigo Mashimaro)
(Lirio@EL CAZADOR DE LA BRUJA)
Just voting Limone but even with the Underwater Ray Romano viewership split I'm not getting my hopes up. Probably Eruruu.
Other matches don't concern me too much. Yukari's unlikely to win G7, fortunately, judging by lucky star results so far. Prelims suggest Ichiko takes G11.
