Why is Naruto popular?

Why is this plotless crap popular? The plot, characters, animation, and voices all suck ass. People often say Naruto is the next big anime. No it isn't. I liked Dragon Ball Z, Pokémon, and Yu-Gi-Oh!. I don't like Naruto. I don't care about Naruto and Sasuke having to suck each other's dicks to save the Hokage crystals or whatever the plot is.
