Animu

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-20 8:16

People who write "animu" desperately try to distance themselves. They don't want to be part of the typical anime-loving 4chan fanbase. By using "animu" instead of the correct "anime", they can be edgy and show their rebellious side. They're the virtual equivalent of goths and emos. "Oh look I want to be different. I'm here, but I don't actually like anime. I'm not like you, I'm special."

Do us, iie, do yourself a favor and grow the fuck ue, thanks. ^^°

Couldn't blame ya.

Honestly, it embarrasses me at times to even like anime, because there's a minority of the fanbase thats out of control.

I'm getting tired of listening to some 'anime experts' here telling me why the stuff I like sucks and why theirs is so SUPERIOR. (even though people have different tastes and interests)  Hell, I even mention that I like something like DBZ, and I get attacked.

Animu is 'appropriate slang', if there ever was such a thing.

A MINORITY?

Christ man. Maybe on 4chan, but you should see places like Gaia or Deviantart. The majority of people who like anime are highschool kids who wish to be Japanese.

4chan is getting worse lately, though.

FUCKING SIGNED, STAMPED AND WITNESSED.
It's a shame when you have to "hide" the fact that you find some anime series mildly amusing, in fear of being branded as something you're not...
