One Piece dropped by 4kids!

It is now official, 4kids Entertainment has canceled dubbing anymore episodes of "One Piece"!
Now a different company can take over dubbing this series and hopefully they won't completely rape the hell out of it like 4kids Entertainment did.

Personally, I would be momentarily joyous if "FUNiMATION" took over "One Piece" from the begining of the series and re-dub it entirely.

Thoughts?

not having seen the One Piece dub, i'm curious what sort of complete the hell of raping out was done to it?  was it just the typical "Make everyone spill ketchup instead of blood, and give everyone a strange accent" raping that's been around for years, or is it something completely new and insidious?

Why don't they just release subbed editions? The Japanese dub is obviously superior to the English one.

No. Actually, they really do. Do you think the censorship laws are still around for shits and giggles? They actually employ people to scratch out the naughtly bits in imported US porn. Japanese standards are a little different culture wise, but everyone (especially parents) still whine just as much. But of course you don't hear about it.
