No it doesn't. Well, maybe the anime sucks a little cuz the end sucks but the manga is very good and you can see things that you don't see in the anime like Matamune or Manta's parents and Peyote's and Turbine's Faces and you don't have to tolerate the Lillys cuz they don't exist in the manga.
