man all my black people out there that enjoy anime make a story practice manga and MAKE ONE before we can b seen as equal we'll have to do ourselves....the same as everything else...i've already got three different stories in my head and i plan on publishing them when i'm older....another thing people make a LIST of black characters.....compare your list of black characters and every so called asian(everybody knows they're white)characters....tell me what you got and say the same thing...

There was a basketball manga series that was really good, and had black people in it. I can't remember what it was called though! XD Kataraa is black in Avatar.

i for one am lil mad at this  why cant there be any black chacthers that make anything of the story move along i for one am sick of that is there any anime or manga for that matter with a black/ brown chacther that is not utean dont get me wrong its a very good anime its just is there anyone else in the anime world doing anything with color by any means

manga/anime doesn't have enough black characters because the country as a whole
is extremely xenophobic. The foreign population is incredible small. and even then most of the foreigners are korean or chinese. I am not Japan bashing. I just saying that, with so many Japanese having never met a black person, it doesn't lend itself to more black characters in anime/manga. That is a shame.

When I went to school there, my fellow student was black. He said it was a strange mix.
