Favorite Azumanga Daioh character?

Originally I had a hard time choosing between Nekoconeco and Osaka, but I chose Osaka by far.

I could tell from the beginning that Yomi was going to be one of my favorites, and she is.  She's just so cool  I like Osaka and Tomo a lot as well since they're pretty funny.  Chiyo and Sakaki got on my nerves at first but now I think both of them are the cutest things ever.  Kagura's okay I geuss.  I love every scene with Kaorin in it, especially when Kimua pops in.

Although I like all the characters, I'd have to say Osaka is my favorite. She reminds me of myself... Oo The Chiyo-dad is a close second.

Yomi = Osaka = Kagura = Tomo = Yukari = Chiyo-chan = Sakaki-san = Nyamo = Kimura-sensei (because he likes high school girls and stuff)

Sakaki is my favorite, because I can relate to her the best.  But the whole series would fall apart without Yukari-sensei...

I'd rather be around Tomo. Everything to her is an extreme sport. It would be fun to see her go insane trying to compete.

Agree with kill. Yamamaya and Sakaki are my favorite characters. Such a heartwarming little bit of subplot!

Also Osaka is in close third with her sleepwalking.

Tomo and Osaka are quite easily my favourites. Two extremes of character really, the one who's to loud and "insane" for her own good, and the one who's too slow to cross a road when the light's green. Funny and cute (Yes Tomo is cute sometimes)

Because I'm an arrogant bastard, I can never understand people who like Sakaki. Despite her interests being so far from what you'd expect, that's practically all there is to her. "Sakaki is cool, but REALLy she's a wuss who devotes every waking hour to thinking about cute animals (and occasionally Chiyo)". I got over her quickly.

The two teachers are also great! Their interactions are always enjoyable, and they are given quite a bit of depth.

If we are talking about who the funniest character is, the winner should clearly be Kimura-Sensei, IMHO. I'm actually quite surprised that nobody mentioned him yet in this thread; come on guys, where is the "Kimurin-love"? :) If the topic is who is hottest, though, my vote goes to <3 Kagura <3

Sakaki, Osaka, and Tomoko are hawt.  Chiyo is adorable, and maybe she's going to be hawt in another five or six years, or not.

Oh, and Kaorin too, of course. What's up with the lack of Kaorin love here. I swear I never in my life laughed so hard as when I watched the Azumanga episode where Kaorin gets to dance with Sakaki and is in heaven for a short while, and then they change partners and its Kimura's turn to dance with Kaorin ...
