I agree with you, Bleach rocks. I want the anime to catch up with the manga, because I prefer fight scenes animated. But I prefer plotline written.

Somehow I feel like Bleach is targeted at 12-year old boys. Uhm.

The same audience as Naruto.

Definitely geared towards 12-year-old boys. I still like the art, though.

I don't know what the target age group is but I think Bleach totally owns. It does seem like it could end after this arc but I like long series so I'd rather it go on. Not sure what else could happen tho.

rule of thumb for target age is age of protagonist/main characters, or perhaps a little younger if it's a shounen jump manga

While it doesn't exactly have a deep plot... I must say I'm really digging on Bleach. The art is stylish and dynamic, the story is pretty entertaining, and (something that is a must for me) the characters are very likable.
I normally havent a high opinion of Shonen Jump! anime/manga
I recently obtained bleach, and have really been likeing it

well after reading up to volume 195, im sure to say its not intended for the younger age group. Its got shitloads of blood and spicey sex scenes with women with huge knockers. Sword designs, character development and Ichigo's Hollow form are a plus. Have you ever masturbated to a sword? This will be your first experience.
Holy crow.... That's an interesting turn of events. It's just starting over here, (around vol. 6, where I live,) and it's just getting to Quincy Ishido, and chad/inoue's abilities.

I bought vol.9 the other day (Kuukaku! Score!), and vol.10 is out already. It's probably stupid of me, but I refuse to read further online. There's something nice about waiting to get a new volume every month or so.
I LOVE BLEACH. Mnnnn, Kuukaku. Lickable.

I have vols 16-19...I suck at translating though...
Anyway, who cares about demographic? If its entertaining, isn't that a good enough reason to watch/read something?
